The ISMED-CLIM Citizen Application is committed to protecting your privacy and personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is collected, used, stored, and protected when using this application.

1. Who We Are

The ISMED-CLIM Citizen App is developed within the ISMED-CLIM project (Grant Agreement No 101156653), co-funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe programme. Technical development is led by eBOS Technologies Ltd with support from project partners.

2. What Data We Collect

The app only collects the minimum data required to provide its services.

Data You May Provide:

• Optional account credentials (if authentication is enabled)
• User preferences (language, notifications)
• Optional questionnaire responses (if applicable)

Data Collected Automatically:

• Approximate location (for climate risk alerts)
• Device information (model, OS version)
• App usage and crash diagnostics

The app does NOT collect: financial data, biometric data, contact lists, messages, or government identifiers.

3. How Your Data Is Used

• To provide personalized climate and health alerts
• To deliver recommendations and notifications
• To improve system performance and usability
• To support scientific evaluation of climate-health services
• To ensure platform security and reliability

Your data is never used for advertising or commercial profiling.

• GDPR-compliant technical and organisational safeguards

6. Data Retention

Data is stored only for as long as required for system operation, legal obligations, and scientific evaluation. You may request deletion at any time.

We do not sell personal data. Data may only be shared with authorised ISMED-CLIM partners, infrastructure providers (hosting/security), or public authorities if legally required.
